Hi there,
I was playing in a 2/4 no limit game. I had about $700 and this other guy had about the same stack of about $700. It was real late in the night and the game was on the verge of braking because the game started at around 9pm and when this hand took place it was 5:30am. I bet $15 pre-flop and he called the $15. The flop was 3Hearts 6Hearts 7 diamonds. I decided to play my hand very aggressive. I had AK suited hearts. I bet $100 on the flop and he re-raised 150 more. I went all in and he called. He had 45 off suit, a 4 hearts and 5 of diamonds. The dealer burned and then burned the actual turn card. Then he put a nine of Hearts out. I thought I made my hand A high flush, but then they said no the correct card is this. Then I started to argue and I was trying to just chop the pot, and the guy and me would take our money back. But the house, my friends, were telling that in AC they would have done this and that. I just want to know if I have the right to just take all my money back and void the hand. Because according to them, the true burn and river card were no hearts. This was a $1500 pot so I didn’t want to loose my whole stack because of the dealers slip-up. What should I do. The guys running the game decided to give me 75% of what I would have cashed out if that hand didn’t happen. But am I entitled to it all? |

Since in fact the turn and river that end up on the board were the correct cards it sounds to me like you are just whining about a beat.
If the mistake was promptly corrected there was no real dealer slip-up that affected the outcome of the hand. You don't seem to be suggesting that you disagree that the dealer burned two consecutive cards and then corrected the error.
my only concern here is the possibility that your opponent would have stayed silent had the mistaken turn helped him. But if the players in the poker game immediately raised the issue then it seems pretty on the square to me. |

| actually it sounds a lot like a blackjack player who thinks the hand should be dead because the card reader did not show a blackjack and he was given the option to hit out to 21 and only got to 20. |
