Here's something that I've never tested out, but in theory, it should work. Through a lot of the game, only bet when you have a really good hand. And when you win, make sure everybody sees you have a good hand. Do this for most of the game, and then one of the hands, instead of making them fold because they think you have a good hand, lose on purpose on a bad hand, so they don't think you are a big threat anymore. Then bomb them on the next good hand. Has anyone tried this?

sure this will work most of the time.
anyway, you will lose the big pots. you will get called if someone has a big hand

I try not to play cards, but to play situations. Of course Cards are a factor to determine a situation, but all in all I think it's not a very good thing for a skilled player to rely on playing good cards and then trying to build an image of a bad player.

It depends on so much factors, that you will miserably fail, if you try to run this strategy and the table ist just not made for it. It could be +Ev against certain players and in certain situations, but I think that there are other strategys that higher your Ev against such opponents.

And I think there is so a lot of value in hands, that are not that good (of course not in the hand itself, but probably in the addition of this hands), that you just cannot make enough value on one good hand, to make up for this loss of value, espacially because you create on purpose -Ev with a bad hand, so your opponents gotta be very dumb in order to pay you off enough on your good hand in order to make this kind of strategy +Ev.

What about revealing your bluffs? is it ever a good idea, just to stir things up and make your game not predictable? I saw ppl playing on poker site who were behaving strangely on the tables, showing bad hands like they were trying to confuse everyone else. And these were big fish, not rookies.
